About Us

Mad River Township Fire & EMS Department is located in Clark County, Ohio. We proudly protect 32 square miles, with the Village of Enon located inside our response district. The department serves a population of 10,835 according to the latest U.S. Census Report. Mad River Township response area includes I-70 (9 miles), I-675 (2 miles), residential, commercial, agricultural and 12 miles of river. The township is home to the Greenon Local School District, where the department is responsible for the safety and well-being of over 1500 students.


Mad River Township Fire & EMS Department utilizes a combination part-time and paid on call members. The department currently staffs 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. The department currently responds to over 1800 fire and emergency medical calls per year.
